James Blanco is in the cast of Guni-Guni, an upcoming horror movie from Regal Films topbilled by Lovi Poe and Empress Schuck and directed by Tara Illenberger.
And did you notice how James has “repackaged” himself lately?
He’s actually given such a break by ABS-CBN in the primetime series Lorenzo’s Time where he plays the role of a band vocalist who is the father of Kat-Kat’s (Carmina Villaroel) daughter.
The “rough” look suits him – the moustache, goatee and disheveled hairstyle are all part of the new look that is so different from his goody image as a teen heartthrob. He has also bulked up a little, something that gives him a more manly, sexier appeal.
And since the right packaging and reinvention over time really matters a lot in showbiz, I’m really glad James’ new look seems to be landing good projects for him.
He has dramatic scenes this Friday in Lorenzo’s Time. Let’s just hope his character won’t be cut from the series after Kat-Kat tells him to leave their daughter alone.
