Jolina Magdangal is back with ABS-CBN after more than a decade of being away.
She was last seen in a Kapamilya show twelve years ago, after which she transferred to GMA-7.
Talks about her comeback came out after Marvin Agustin, her love team back in the days, confirmed his return via the upcoming series, “Flordeliza,” and said that there’s a possibility Jolina would also be in the cast.
And now it’s confirmed. Jolina has joined Marvin in the cast of the drama series being directed by Wenn V. Deramas.
“I’m so happy, kakaibang feeling,” Jolina said in a taped interview aired on “Aquino & Abunda Tonight.”
She also said that she’s excited to see a lot of the people she used to work with in the network.
“Parang nae-excite akong makita ulit ‘yung mga dati kong kasama, mga dati kong nakatrabaho,” she said. “Unang-una, s’yempre, ngayon ko lang ulit makikita, ito honesty ha, si Marvin. Ngayon ko lang s’ya talaga makikita ulit after a long time,” she said.
Direk Wenn was among those people she has worked with in the past, and Jolina said the director knows her well when it comes to acting.
“Si Direk Wenn alam na alam kong kilalang-kilala n’ya rin ako, e, pagdating sa ganyan. Alam n’ya kung paano n’ya ako imo-motivate,” she said.
Wenn, meanwhile, revealed that Jolina returned to ABS-CBN because she couldn’t say no to the role.
“’Yung pagbabalik n’yan dito sa amin sa Kapamilya ay alam ko isang malaking factor ‘yung pagkaka-offer nung role. hindi n’ya matanggihan ‘yung… magandang-maganda kasi talaga ‘yung role n’ya,” the director said.
“Flordeliza” is set to air in November, perhaps to take the early primetime slot to be left by “Pure Love” which is currently on its final three weeks.
