'The Voice of the Philippines' season 2 kicks off Blind Audition with 2 4-chair turners

The Blind Auditions for the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines" kicked off on Sunday, October 26, 2014.

The Voice of the Philippines coaches

After the successful first season and the recent kids edition of the singing reality show, the original four coaches are back to picking new artists for their respective teams.

Coaches Lea Salonga, Apl.de.Ap, Bamboo Mañalac and Sarah Geronimo all had one artist each after the first episode.

Apl.de.Ap was the only coach who turned for the 27-year-old Jannet Cadayona, a single mom who is also a police officer. She gave a moving rendition of "Tukso" which was originally sung by Eva Eugenio.

Lea was picked by balladeer Timothy Pavino who was a three-chair turner. Only Apl.de.Ap didn't turn for Timothy's performance of Martin Nievera's "You Are My Song."

Bamboo was picked by one of the four-chair turners in the episode, rocker chick Tanya Diaz who growled through Heart's "What About Love."

Lastly, Sarah was chosen by another four-chair turner, Reggae singer Kokoi Baldo who performs in Boracay. The popstar didn't expect it because their genres are so different, but she was very happy, nonetheless.

The question is, will this season's winner be in this batch of artists?

"The Voice of the Philippines" is hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano, with Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo. It airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ABS-CBN.
