Mariah Carey’s “Elusive Chanteuse” Manila concert flocked by fans, celebs

Mariah Carey held her very successful “Elusive Chanteuse” concert at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on Tuesday night, October 28, 2014.

The venue was jam-packed, attended by her Filipino fans that include celebrities like Jed Madela, Erik Santos, KZ Tandingan and Darla Sauler.

Despite the bashing Mariah received due to off-key performances in the Tokyo and Seoul legs of the tour, her Manila concert was not in any way affected negatively.

She started the concert by singing “Fantasy” from her 1995 album, “Daydream.” She followed it up with “Touch My Body” and “Shake It Off.”

The crowd stood up and danced when she did “Emotions,” and she herself danced to “Heartbreaker.”

Also part of her 20-song repertoire were “Cry,” “My All,” “I’ll Be There,” “Hero,” “We Belong Together” and “Honey.”

Mariah arrived in Manila early Monday morning on a private plane. She was welcomed by fans that she acknowledged by throwing flying kisses and waving.

After her Manila concert, the singer headed straight to Bangkok for the final leg of the tour.
