Iya Villania left ABS-CBN to go back to GMA-7, the network where she started her showbiz career.
The dancer, singer and host took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal the news that she's now officially a Kapuso.
Rumors about her transfer started when blind items about a female host switching networks came out with all clues leading to her.
Last Sunday, she was still seen in the taped episode of "ASAP" that was taken in Los Angeles, California. She was a regular performer of the variety show for ten years.
In the coming days, however, she will be joining "Sunday All Stars," the rival program of "ASAP."
During her contract signing, Iya was touched by the presence of Kapuso Network executives which, she said, "made it real."
"The presence of the bosses is definitely what made it real for me awhile ago! Made me feel special! Hahaa! With the Chairman and CEO of gma network - Atty Felipe Gozon, Senior Vice President of GMA Network - Lilybeth Rasonable, Vice President of GMA Entertainment - Marivin Arayata, Vice President for Drama and Entertainment TV - Redgie Magno and Senior Asst. Vice Pres. of GMA Entertainment TV - Gigi Santiago. Thank you for the welcome it's nice to be back," she wrote as the above photo's caption.
Iya started her showbiz career with GMA-7 as part of the cast of "Walang Hanggan" and "Click" in 2003. She transferred to ABS-CBN in 2004 and did various hosting jobs as well as acted in a number of series, the last of which was "Apoy Sa Dagat" in 2013.
She recently married her long-time boyfriend, Kapuso host Drew Arellano, whose showbiz career also started in "Click."
