Vhong Navarro files perjury charges vs. Cornejo, Lee

Vhong Navarro filed perjury charges against Deniece Cornejo, siblings Cedric and Bernice Lee, and Simeon "Zimmer" Raz Jr., as well as the beauty pageant contestant Roxanne Cabañero who claims she was raped by the It's Showtime host.

Navarro first went to the Pasig Prosecutor's Office on Thursday, March 6, to file his counter-affidavit and perjury case against Cabañero.

He then proceeded to the Manila Prosecutor's Office to file perjury charges versus Cornejo, the Lee siblings, and Raz, the group involved in the mauling of the actor on January 22 at the Forbeswood Heights condo unit where Cornejo was staying.

"Ini-exercise namin yung mga karapatang sa tingin namin makakapagprotekta kay Vhong," said Navarro's lawyer Atty. Alma Mallonga, as quoted by pep.ph. "Para naman masabi dun sa mga naninira sa kanila na we won’t take this sitting down. Meron tayong karapatan na puwede nating protektahan ang sarili natin."

Meanwhile, Navarro is set to be back in It's Showtime on Saturday, after more than a month of being gone due to the mauling that left him hospitalized for days.
