Country singer Skylar Laine chose Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings for the top 8 performance show where the contestants had to pick songs from the hits of the ‘80s.
The performance was so heartfelt and the vocals were so good that the judges stood up applauding after her performance.
Randy Jackson marked it was Skylar’s best performance so far. Jennifer Lopez said that the 18-year-old contestant just told America not to count her out with that performance. Steven, meanwhile, agreed that it was the best song she could have picked for her voice.
