No more Bea Alonzo-Derek Ramsay team up movie?

News broke out last February that a Derek Ramsay-Bea Alonzo movie will be this year’s anniversary presentation of Star Cinema, the film outfit of ABS-CBN.

But with Derek’s leaving ABS-CBN and transferring to TV5, Star Cinema is allegedly not going to push through with the team-up anymore.

It could have been okay because Derek only signed television contract with the Kapatid network. He could easily make movies with film outfits like Star Cinema if he wanted to.

Olivia Lamasan was then named as the director of the Bea-Derek movie, the story of which was described by Bea as controversial; something people don’t often talk about but exists in reality.

Yesterday, TV Patrol featured the comeback movie of the Bea-John Lloyd Cruz love team. It will be directed by Olivia Lamasan and with a controversial enough title of The Mistress.

I’m guessing it’s the same project that was supposed to be topbilled by Bea and Derek. Don’t you think so, too?
