A scorching hot 35.9 degrees Celsius was recorded at 3 PM this afternoon at the Science Garden in Quezon City.
It was the hottest Metro Manila ever got since January of this year, according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
However, it’s not the hottest day Manila has ever experienced. A sizzling hot 38.5 degrees was recorded on May 14, 1987.
In the whole Philippines, though, the hottest was recorded in Tuguegarao at 42.2 degrees on May 11, 1969.
