AI 11: Top 6 pays tribute to Queen

No, no the the Queen of England but the band fronted by the late Freddie Mercury.

The American Idol 11 top 6 will reportedly sing from the repertoire of the great band. I can almost hear Joshua Ledet straining his vocal chords for We Are The Champions, and that makes me wonder what Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez will pick. I hope it’s a song that she can connect to the audience with, something that the judges have been pointing out since saving her from elimination.

The remaining contestants will also get to sing with original members of Queen, Roger Taylor and Brian May, in a group performance.

Not only that, The Queen Extravaganza, the official Queen tribute show, will perform Somebody To Love during the results show. Katy Perry will also perform her newest single, Part Of Me, and AI 10’s Stefano Langone will launch his newest single I’m On A Roll.
