Metro Manila sizzled with 36.2 degrees Celsius on April 24

A sizzling hot 36.2 degrees Celsius was recorded past 2 PM of Tuesday, April 24, 2012. It was by far the hottest Metro Manila ever got since January of this year.

The ridge of high pressure area is bringing warm weather to Northern and Central Luzon, thus, the region, specifically Metro Manila, Tuguegarao and Clark, Pampanga, will still feel about the same heat today, April 25.

It will be cloudy, though, in Visayas and Mindanao.

Last April 21, a scorching 35.9 degrees Celsius was recorded at 3 PM at the Science Garden in Quezon City. It was, until that day, the hottest of the year.

And with the record 36.2 yesterday, I wonder if the 38.5 (hottest Metro Manila ever experienced) in May 14, 1987 would be broken this year.

Let’s hope not, though.
