Don Allado of Philippine Basketball Association’s (PBA) Barako Bull Energy became controversial as he bashed the league on Twitter after losing in a do-or-die game against Powerade Tigers.
According to Allado, the PBA games are fixed as the league controls what teams get in the championship. He also tweeted that he can’t accept losing just because of referees.
PBA Commissioner Chito Salud belied Allado’s accusations in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
“Hindi totoo ‘yan,” he told sports reporter Jek Batallones. Salud also said that he has already summoned Allado to ask for evidences on his accusations, after which they would have to make necessary steps regarding the controversy that was caused by the cager’s tweets.
Salud also said that the whole incident saddened him. “Nakakalungkot… and I'm really looking forward to meeting him tomorrow dahil gusto kong tanungin ‘ano ang proof mo?’ ‘ano ang ebidensya mo?’”
Meanwhile, here are the controversial tweets of Don Allado:
