NU Bulldogs is UAAP 2014 champions

The National University (NU) Bulldogs won the basketball finals of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) that was held at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

NU won, 75-59, against Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws in the best of three game. Alfred Aroga, who had 24 points and 18 rebounds, was named Finals MVP.

It was the first win for NU after sixty years. Their only other win was in 1954, also against FEU.

FEU already had 19 wins with the last one in 2005 against De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers.

Meanwhile, known FEU supporter Vice Ganda, despite being confined in a hospital, posted a funny Instagram video about celebrating NU's win by eating at SM Foodcourt. SM and NU are both owned by business tycoon Henry Sy.
