Lance Raymundo's face restored after 1st surgery

Lance Raymundo already looks like his old self only five days after undergoing reconstructive surgery.

Raymundo's face got crushed by an 80-pound barbell in a freak gym accident last March 19, resulting to multiple facial fractures.

The accident was reportedly caused by a trainer who was talking to someone else while assisting the actor. They never revealed the name of the trainer, though, as according to Raymundo, nobody really wanted it to happen.

He recently underwent the first of the two major surgeries to restore his face, and he reportedly already looks the way he did before the accident.

According to a report by philstar.com, the crushed bones on his face were replaced by titanium and a superfoil net now holds his eye because the socket has also been damaged.

“If you see me now, you won’t believe that I lost my face in that accident,” he told Funfare in a phone interview.

He will undergo the second surgery approximately three weeks after the first one, when his wounds have already healed.

Meanwhile, on April 1, he told his Instagram followers that he's finally back home.

"🐺 I'm Home!!! 🐺 Thank U #God , Thank U @mommyninar , Dad, @rannieraymundo , @charyraymundo , @reginaraymundo_ , @margaraymundo 🐺 Thank u to my 7 Doctors headed by @porquezmd 🐺 AND thank u to the #FriendsOfWolf & my loved ones, relatives, friends and all the awesome people I have never met, but offered prayers for me!
