Shake Rattle and Roll 14, as well as the other seven official entries to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), will open in cinemas on Tuesday, December 25. In line with that, the Parade of Stars was held on Sunday featuring the cast of the movie entries in their respective floats.
SRR 14 is one of the two horror films in the festival this year (the other one being The Strangers) so fans of the genre will have a choice.
And while The Strangers has Enchong Dee, Julia Montes and Enrique Gil, SRR 14 features a bunch of today’s most popular stars put together in three episodes – Lost Command, Pamana and Unwanted.
In Lost Command, Paulo Avelino, Dennis Trillo and Martin Escudero plays soldiers who discovered the power of a berdugo of a former vigilante squad. Also in the episode are Ella Cruz, Makisig Morales, AJ Dee, JC Tiuseco and Alex Castro. Check out the episode trailer below.
Pamana is topbilled by some of the actors in the first-ever SRR film. Janice de Belen, Herbert Bautista, Empress Schuck, Dennis Padilla, Arlene Muhlach, Snooky Serna and Dimples Romana star in this episode that is about a family who inherited a comics collection of their uncle. Also in the episode are Ivan Dorschner, Gerald Pesigan, Ana Vicente, Eri Neeman and Fabio Ide. Episode trailer below.
Lastly, Unwanted is topbilled by Vhong Navarro so we’re sure this one is a horror-comedy. The story is about a group of friends who went ghost hunting but encountered some sea monsters instead. Lovi Poe, Albie Casiño, Eula Caballero and Carlo Aquino co-star. Here’s the episode trailer:
Presented by Regal Films and directed by Chito S. Roño, Shake Rattle and Roll 14 is expected to draw moviegoers both young and old. And, of course, after thirteen previous SRRs, I’m sure Regal has already mastered the formula that would make us scream and watch it over and over again.
