One More Try is one of Star Cinema’s official entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this year. It stars Dingdong Dantes, Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo and Angel Locsin.
Dingdong was hailed as the festival’s best actor last year for his role in Segunda Mano which he topbilled opposite Kris Aquino. And with his role as Edward in the heavy drama movie this year, he has a very good chance of bagging the award again.
During his Kris TV guesting on Monday, Kris asked Dingdong if he thinks he could get the top acting honor at the festival this year. He answered it with much humility by saying: “Sa akin ang iniisip ko talaga pagdating sa mga ganyan mas importante ‘yong magampanan ko ‘yong role na maigi, na tama, more than anything.”
He described his role as a man torn between being faithful to his wife and being able to help a child.
In real life, though, Dingdong’s love life is very happy with fellow Kapuso talent Marian Rivera. But when asked for their anniversary, he obviously didn’t know the exact date which made everyone laugh. He’s quite sure, however, that he and Marian have already been a couple for more than three years but not more than five.
Directed by Ruel S. Bayani, One More Try opens in cinemas December 25.
