Enchong Dee admitted in The Buzz that he and Julia Montes became more than friends before their busy schedules became a hindrance to their blossoming love affair.
The Kapamilya actor, however, wouldn’t say that they became a couple despite their special friendship because he was, during that time, still waiting for her to turn 18.
“Kung tatanungin mo kung more than friends or naging kami, I can say na parang ganun na kami,” Enchong said. “Pero we can’t concretely say na yes naging kami because I was really waiting for her to turn 18.”
He and Julia both star in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) official entry The Strangers. But even though they were together in the project, Enchong has also been busy with the primetime series Ina Kapatid Anak and Julia was also shooting another movie titled A Moment in Time opposite Coco Martin.
Enchong also confessed that he and Julia started going out when the actress was just 16. And with only a few months before she turns 18, their “special friendship” started falling out.
But then Julia will be 18 years old on March 19th. Will Enchong be courting the pretty actress anew when that age that he had so waited for comes?
“Hindi ko talaga alam eh. How I wish kaya kong sagutin at the moment, na sana kaya kong bigyan ng sagot ang mga nanonood pero hindi ko talaga alam.”
