Cristine Reyes hopes to spend Christmas with older sister Ara Mina despite their recent misunderstanding.
The sexy singer, who will soon star in a teleserye with Gerald Anderson and Maricel Soriano, said that she hasn’t stopped reaching out to Ara but understands that some things like forgiveness cannot be forced.
“Hindi po ako tumitigil sa pagri-reach out na maayos. My sister Heidi is communicating with her and she still doesn't want to talk to me. I think hindi pwedeng madaliin so huwag nating piliin,” she told ABS-CBN News.
With regards to spending Christmas together, Cristine is still very hopeful about it. “I hope, I hope. Hindi napuputol yung hope ko.”
Their sensationalized misunderstanding earlier this year lead to libel cases filed by Ara against Cristine. The older sister said she did it to teach the younger one a lesson.
Eventually, Cristine apologized to Ara on national television but the latter found it insincere.
Cristine, however, denied that she was disrespectful to her own mother. “Okay kami ni mommy,” she said, “so hindi ko alam kung saan nanggaling yung isyu na pinagmumura ko siya at hindi ko minura ang mother ko ever.”
Cristine Reyes’ last series was Dahil Sa Pag-ibig opposite Piolo Pascual and Jericho Rosales. She also recently starred in a Wansapanataym episode and is regularly seen in ASAP 2012.
