TV5 is paying tribute to Superstar Nora Aunor this weekend as the network celebrates her pre-45th year in showbiz via the Nora Aurnor Weekend Special.
On Saturday, Nora will play the role of Sister Thelma Layog, a nun who left the convent in favor of the man she loves, in Untold Stories. She is partnered in the episode with Yul Servo who was also her leading man in Naglalayag. Also in the cast is Angie Ferro, a co-star in Sidhi.
The superstar will then play the role of a janitress in Third Eye this Sunday. Named Ditas Gregorio, she will be forced to relive her dark memories involving demonic possession. Lorna Tolentino is also in the cast, marking their reunion after 30 years since they did Mga Uod at Rosas.
Meanwhile, Nora received a Bisato d’Oro award given by Premio Della Critica Indipendiente in Italy for her performance in Brillante Mendoza’s Thy Womb. The movie premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and it was given a standing ovation for more than five minutes.
