GMA-7’s Magdalena which is topbilled by Bela Padilla is set to premiere on October 8 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
This is Bela’s first-ever lead role and she is set to display her versatility and acting prowess to prove that she’s really the best one for the job.
Her character’s name is Lena, a simple girl who works for her family. Her mother Luding (Irma Adlawan), however, is against her relationship with childhood friend and first love Abel (Dion Ignacio), and favors Baron (Ryan Eigenmann), a wealthy Manila guy who she believes would save their family from poverty.
Luding made a plan to destroy Lena and Abel’s relationship. Lena eventually went to Manila with Baron, who only used her for his illegal business and made an escort girl out of her.
The third leading man of Bela in the series is Pancho Magno who will play the role of Jet, an aspiring model who will help Lena to get back on her feet but will fall in love with her.
Magdalena is directed by Gina Alajar from the script written by Agnes Gagelonia-Uligan. It is based on Pilipino Komiks’ Kukulayan Ko Ang Langit written by RJ Nuevas.
