GMA-7’s new afternoon series Magdalena premieres on October 8. Directed by Gina Alajar, it has Bela Padilla in the title role, her first-ever lead.
There are a lot of good-looking men in the series. First off are the three leading men of Lena (Bela) – Dion Ignacio, Pancho Magno and Ryan Eigenmann.
Dion will play the role of Abel, Lena’s childhood friend and first love. Lena’s mother Luding (Irma Adlawan), however, doesn’t like Abel for her and makes plans to destroy their relationship. She believes the right man for Lena is Baron (Ryan) because he is rich and would be able to save their family from poverty.
But Baron will only use Lena for his illegal business and makes her an escort girl.
Pancho, on the other hand, plays the role of Jet, an aspiring model who helps Lena get back on her feet. But he falls in love with her in the process.
Also in Magdalena are two other good looking actors Vivo Ouano and Prince Stefan both of whom started out in StarStruck.
Vivo belonged to the third season of the artista search while Prince was in season 4.
Vivo became controversial last year when he got involved in a drug buy-bust operation and got jailed for two months in Camp Crame.
With all these good looking men in one series, plus Bela’s sexy role, Magdalena is set to fire up afternoon TV beginning October 8. Don’t forget to catch its pilot episode, only on GMA-7.
