Colton Dixon played the piano while giving a “subtle” rendition of Skylar Grey’s Love The Way You Lie during American Idol 11’s top 7 performance show.
Randy Jackson said he loved the “subtle performance” and the interpretation, Jennifer Lopez thought Colton did a good job with the song, and Steven Tyler called him a “rare talent.”
It was actually the first time Colton’s performance moved me, even giving me goosebumps. He has this emo-rocker thing going on and I think his star just shone tonight.
