Specific parts of Metro Manila where the shoot will take place had been named. Car chase scenes will be shot in the roads of Intramuros, Navotas Fishport, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, Ayala Avenue, Nagtahan, Pasay Taft, Jones Bridge, Marikina City Market and San Andres Market.

On that note, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino promised to release early advisories so that motorists can avoid using the roads where the shoot will take place.

Aside from Metro Manila, The Bourne Legacy's finale will be shot in El Nido, Palawan.

Tolentino hopes that the movie will help in the promotion of tourism in the country.

The Bourne Legacy is the fourth movie in the Bourne series. It features the character of Jason Bourne, a former CIA assassin suffering from extreme memory loss. The movie is being directed by Tony Gilroy, who also wrote the script together with his younger brother Dan. Tony wrote the screenplay of the first three Bourne movies as well but The Bourne Legacy was the first Bourne move that he directed.

Matt Damon starred in the first three films – The Bourne Identity (2002), The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). Matt refused to do the fourth movie without Paul Greengrass who directed the second and third movies but decided not to return as director.
