Fans of Daniel Padilla have been outraged by the video uploaded recently on YouTube showing Kapuso stars Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona listening to his single Hinahanap-hanap Kita.
Julie and Elmo seemed to have been talking about Daniel’s style of singing. The two even sang parts of the song in Daniel’s fashion.
The part that perhaps the fans got offended at was towards the end when Elmo imitated how Daniel sang the line “Adik sa ‘yo” with that grunt at the end. He repeated it over again seeming fascinated with the grunt, until all he did was grunt which solicited loud laughter from the people around him including Julie.
Daniel addressed the issue during the presscon for his birthday concert which is happening April 30th at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“May kapwa ako artista, hindi taga-dito sa ABS-CBN, na inaasar yung boses ko,” he said. “Gusto ko sabihin, ‘Bakit may double platinum ba kayo?’ Kasi ako, oo. Pero huwag na lang natin pag-usapan iyon. Pabayaan natin iyon.”
The original video has been taken down, but a copy was uploaded by YouTube user tomomi kawaii on April 15th.
Check it out below and you be the judge if Julie and Elmo really meant to insult Daniel or not.
