Vhong Navarro gets third rape complaint

A third rape complaint has been filed against actor-TV host Vhong Navarro. It was filed on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office by a certain Margarita Fajardo.

According to a philstar.com report, the woman worked as a body double in a television series that Navarro starred in some five years ago.

The rape incident allegedly happened in 2009 during their last few weeks of taping the said teleserye.

Navarro's driver allegedly asked Fajardo to go inside the actor's vehicle because he wanted to talk to her.

Fajardo said she got inside the SUV as she was not afraid because there were lots of people outside.

"I did not think anything of it and I was not afraid to be alone with Vhong because we were taping with lots of other people around outside," she said in the affidavit.

But once inside, Navarro allegedly started forcing her to do nasty things but she resisted and threatened to bite him. He touched her, though, and she described the experience as "painful, humiliating and shameful" that's why she didn't tell anyone about it at that time.

"After that day, I only shared this painful and humiliating experience to a handful of my really close friends," she said.

Fajardo said that those that have filed rape cases against Navarro before her gave her the courage to do the same.

"It is only now that I am coming out to tell my story because I was inspired by the courage of other women who are coming out now to seek justice and to tell the truth about Vhong," she said.

Meanwhile, Navarro's lawyer, Atty. Alma Mallonga, said they were expecting the complaint especially now that the Department of Justice nears resolution of the non-bailable serious illegal detention complaint filed by her client against Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee and several others in relation to the mauling the actor suffered in Taguig last January.

"This is something that we were expecting. This doesn’t surprise me," Mallonga told Philippine Star in a phone interview. "The timing of filing raises serious questions… Vhong did not commit any of the allegations against him."
