Heavy metal Filipino band Slapshock is headed for international stardom!

The band will soon be flying to Los Angeles to collaborate with teams of popular international artists like Rihanna and Beyonce.

After almost 17 years in the music business, their big break came courtesy of Fil-Am rapper and Black Eyed Peas member apl.de.ap. The Voice PH season 1 coach believes in Filipino talent so much that he’s willing to help out in any way possible.

“I just want to congratulate the boys and I'm excited for them to record their materials in LA,” apl told ABS-CBN News.

Meanwhile, Jamir promised that they will do their best as they dedicate this milestone to their fellow musicians.

“We are honored and we want to dedicate this to our fellow musicians. We were struggling back then but we never gave up. Pagbubutihin namin.”
