ABS-CBN welcomed back Roderick Paulate and Amy Perez by signing them up to an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN yesterday afternoon (October 22) and announced that they will be reunited as hosts of the musical game show The Singing Bee this November.
Dick and Amy, who are real-life best friends, expressed their elation over their comeback and reunion in the Kapamilya network.
“We feel that Mamang, Kuya Dick’s mom, is watching over us from heaven and even made a way for us to be together again,” Amy shared.
“It feels good to be back home after many years and see my family again,” Dick said.
Dick and Amy became a popular and well-loved tandem at the height of ABS-CBN’s noontime show Magandang Tanghali Bayan (MTB). They both said that every member of the family will be entertained by The Singing Bee.
“This will be a fun show. Aside from the contestants, I’m sure the audience and televiewers will also enjoy the guessing game and sing-along,” Dick said.
“Filipinos are natural music lovers. When we have a problem, we usually just sing it out. With that, Filipinos will surely love ‘The Singing Bee,’” Amy added.
Aside from co-hosting The Singing Bee, Amy will also join morning show Umagang Kay Ganda and will return to radio via ABS-CBN’s flagship AM station DZMM.
Also present during the contract signing were ABS-CBN business unit head Reily Santiago, News and Current Affairs head Ging Reyes, president and CEO Charo Santos, broadcast head Cory Vidanes, and TV production head Laurenti Dyogi.
