Morrisette Amon gave a very powerful performance of Heart’s What About Love in Sunday night’s live show of The Voice Of The Philippines where she competed against her fellow Team Sarah member Maki Ricafort.
Morrisette got praises from coaches Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo. Both said the 16-year-old’s emotion while singing was exceptional for her age considering that she hasn’t had that much experiences in life.
The young singer said she was specially inspired because her dad surprised her by going to the Newport Performing Arts Theater to watch her sing.
She got a score of 60% from coach Sarah and 50.41% from the public votes, totaling to a score of 110.41. It was a tight battle in the fan votes with Maki who got a very close 49.59%. Added to the 40% he got from Sarah, he totaled 89.59. But that wasn’t enough to beat Morrisette.
