ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal aired the season’s last episode on Saturday, September 28, 2013, with Korina Sanchez bringing home P1 from her chosen briefcase.
But will it really be the last of the show?
Host Luis Manzano was very emotional towards the end of the show, thanking everyone the network for giving him the chance to be a game show host.
“Mga Kapamilya, thank you very much. ABS-CBN management thank you for this blessing. Dahil po sa Deal Or No Deal kahit paano naging game show host na rin po ako. Miss Alou, Direk Bobet, sa lahat thank you very much. To our writers, to everyone, banker maraming-maraming salamat,” a crying Luis said.
The show’s fourth season, the first one that Luis hosted after Kris Aquino begged off due to other priorities, lasted for 71 episodes that ran for more than a year. It has given out more than P10 million and supported more than 50 charities and beneficiaries.
“This has been a very big blessing po para sa aming lahat getting to work with these amazing people. It’s never easy to say goodbye. Ang nakikita nyo lang po kadalasan, ako, and everyone pero eto po ang buong Deal Or No Deal family,” he continued, giving credit to the staff and crew that went up the stage behind him.
“Kung ano po ang narating ng Deal Or No Deal ay dahil po sa kanilang lahat. Hindi lang po ako, hindi lang po kami, kundi dahil sa inyo po. Mga Kapamilya, thank you very much.”
Luis gave hope to the fans of the show by saying that Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal will be back.
“Let’s not call this goodbye, let’s call this a we’ll-see-you-again. And malay n’yo we’ll see you sooner than you think,” he said.
