Claudine Barretto’s former personal assistant, Dessa Cadelario Patilan, has accused the actress of theft in a case filed September 11th in Marikina City.
Patilan was the same PA that was imprisoned last May after Claudine accused her of stealing a P1.8 million watch and jewelries amounting to P8.5 million.
But it seems that the tables have turned because the former PA is now the one accusing her former employer the same charge that she faced four months ago.
According to the complaint-affidavit signed by Patilan, it was during the same incident last May 10 in Claudine’s Loyola Grand Villas house in Marikina where the alleged theft happened.
The cops, who were with Claudine when the actress accused Patilan of theft, ordered the 19-year-old PA to show them her belongings. Claudine, then, took Patilan’s wallet containing P10,700 (which she received as salary), her tablet that costs P3,000, memory card worth P500, and a sim card worth P50.
Claudine allegedly returned to Patilan the P700 from her wallet, saying “Ayan, panggastos mo.”
Furthermore, Claudine also tore up a teddy bear given to Patilan by Sabina, the actress’s eldest daughter.
Patilan demands P13,550 in damages, P50,000 in moral damages, another P50,000 in exemplary damages, and the monetary cost for legal services.
Aside from this theft charge, Claudine is also having a legal battle with estranged husband, Raymart Santiago.
