Take Off sang APO Hiking Society’s Yakap Sa Dilim at the Top 8 performance show of The X Factor Philippines. OPM was the theme of the performances.
The boys all looked dashing in dress shirts and slacks, very appropriate to the big band music and old sound.
Take Off is from the Groups category mentored by Gary Valenciano.
Judges’ comments:
Martin Nievera: I’ve heard you sing much better… Your harmony is not APO-ish but I’m sure you know where you went off and what you need to do next time, but great performance. Very nice.
Pilita Corales: Okay naman. Maganda naman.
Charice Pempengco: Not the very best, pero tonight na-enjoy ko.
Gary Valenciano: Ang masasabi ko, dahil palagi silang nasa bottom 2, sila lang ang contestants na halos linggu-linggo dalawang beses na kumakanta para sa lahat ng tao. Dahil do’n nakikita ko ang kumpyansya ninyo and I think that’s a very very big factor to have if you want to go all the way to The X Factor finals.
