Take Off was eliminated from The X Factor Philippines on September 2, 2012. They ended up being the Top 8 of the show’s first ever season. It was a deadlock and Take Off got the least percentage of votes with 6.59% against Joan Da’s 9.99%.
Take Off sang Ogie Alcasid’s Sa Kanya for their survival song. During last night’s performance show, they rendered APO Hiking Society’s Yakap Sa Dilim. This was their third time in the Bottom 2. They survived the Top 11 results show when Mark Mabasa was eliminated, and last week, when the judges voted off Modesto Taran.
Joan Da, who joined Take Off in the Bottom 2, sang Bruno Mars’ Grenade for her survival performance, while during the performance show, she did Join Da Club’s Nobela. It was her second time in the Bottom 2. She also survived elimination during the Top 12 results show.
Pilita Corales and Charice Pempengco voted off Take Off, while Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera voted off Joan Da, reason why the show had to go back to the result of the fan votes.
The show is down to it’s final 7 contestants, so that means it only has 6 weeks to go. That is, if no wildcard is brought in.
Top 7:
- KZ Tandingan
- Daddy’s Home
- Jeric Medina
- Kedebon Colim
- Allen Jane Sta. Maria
- Gabriel Maturan
- Joan Da
