Four contestants got the boot last night in Protege: The Battle for the Big Artista Break.
Andres Vasquez and Vien Alen King of Mega Manila, and Steffi Pacheco and David John Llanas of Mindanao went home during the September 2, 2012 episode of the GMA-7 reality show.
Andres and Vien Alen, being mentored by Roderick Paulate, did a great job during the previous week’s short film test with Maricel Soriano (read about it here) and it’s sad that they had to go the week after that. Only Elle Ramirez is left in the Mega Manila team.
Meanwhile, Steffi and David John starred with Maricel in the short film Aba, Ginoong Maria. Now, it’s only Ruru Madrid who’s left in the Mindanao team. Phillip Salvador is their mentor.
Only 10 protégés are now left in the competition. 1 from Mega Manila (Elle Ramirez); 1 from Mindanao (Ruru Madrid); 2 from Northern & Central Luzon (Japs De Luna and Shelly Hipolito); 3 from Visayas (Bryan Benedict, Mikoy Morales and Zandra Summer); and 3 from South Luzon (Jeric Gonzales, Arny Ross and Thea Tolentino).
