“American Idol” retains Randy Jackson as judge

Enrique Iglesias won’t be sitting as a judge in the next season of American Idol anymore.

It was earlier reported that Enrique and Keith Urban will join Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj in the judging panel of the hit reality competition.

Recent developments say, however, that Enrique is now out of the picture and Randy Jackson will retain his seat as a judge.

Randy, who had been an AI judge since the show’s first season, was said to have moved to a mentoring role for the twelfth season. But that changed as the producers seem to have some trouble getting Enrique and decide to just retain Randy in the judging panel.
