The American Idol 12 Top 4 girls performed again after no one was eliminated last week. They performed two songs each - one song from this year and one classic.

‘American Idol 12’ - Top 4 performance videos

The Top 4 contestants of American Idol 12 performed three songs on Wednesday night, April 24, 2013 (April 25, Manila time). The first song was a song of choice, second was a duet with fellow contestant, and third was a one-hit wonder picked by the winners.

While Angie Miller and Amber Holcomb did well, it was a rocky night for Kree Harrison. She was in the Bottom 2 last week and she could very well be in it again on Thursday night.

'American Idol 12' Top 8 performance videos - Amber Holcomb receives standing ovation from judges

The Top 8 contestants have performed and as usual, there were good ones and bad ones. I was surprised to actually hear Angie Miller go flat and forgot the lyrics like she’s going through some rough time or something.

But I think she won’t be eliminated tomorrow because she’s still better than some of the other contestants.

‘American Idol 12’ - Curtis Finch, Jr. is out!

Curtis Finch, Jr. is the first to be eliminated from American Idol 12’s Top 10 contestants. He sang Fantasia Barrino’s I Believe and he did quite well, but then I guess it’s because he’s the one with the least star factor and the least appeal to the audience that’s why he was voted out.

Not a single Fil-Am went through to the Top 10 of American Idol 12. Despite dialidol’s prediction that Adriana Latonio, the half Pinoy who went through to the Top 20, was the female contestant with the most votes, her name was not announced in the Top 10.

He sang Alicia Keys’ New York State Of Mind and although he got a standing ovation from the audience, it was only Keith Urban that liked his performance from among the judges.

‘American Idol 12’ - Top 20 named!

The last ten boys in the Top 40 has performed Thursday night (Friday morning in Manila) and five had been named part of American Idol 12.

Sadly, Fil-Am Bryant Tadeo suffered the same fate as Jett Hermano and failed to join fellow Filipino Adriana Latonio in the list but, oh well, at least we still have a Pinoy contestant to cheer for this year.

Jett Hermano fails to get through to Top 20 of ‘American Idol 12’

Jett Hermano, ‘the other Filipina’ in American Idol 12, failed to make it to the Top 20 and her performance didn’t impress all four judges unlike Adriana Latonio’s who got praises from all four of them.

Jett Hermano

But despite her vocal abilities, could Jett’s destiny already been predetermined when Adriana, who performed last week ahead of her, got into the Top 20? I think AI doesn’t want two girl contestants who are both Filipinas competing in the show and overshadowing the Americans.

American Idol 12: 5 more hopefuls included in Top 20; Pinoy Jett Hermano goes home

Fifteen contestants out of American Idol 12’s Top 20 have already been revealed after Wednesday night’s (Thursday morning Manila time) episode. The last ten of the girls performed for the sudden death round where half of them would stay and become part of the Top 20, and sadly, half of them would have to go home.

Last week, Filipino-American Adriana Latonio impressed the judges with her rendition of Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way, thus, making it to the Top 20. Last night, however, another Fil-Am Jett Hermano failed to deliver with her slow version of Rihanna’s Only Girl In The World and was sent home.

Bryant Tadeo

Judge Nicki Minaj was the one who broke the news to him, but not without playing around first by telling Bryant that they are sending him home.
