Miss World Philippines transfers to TV5

Miss World Philippines has just started a year ago, producing Gwendoline Ruais who became first runner-up in the international competition.

The beauty pageant was aired in GMA-7, reason why Binibining Pilipinas transferred to ABS-CBN.

But after only a year, Miss World Philippines has already moved to TV5. Franchise owner Cory Quirino has recently inked a deal with the Kapatid network that made the channel the media partner of the pageant.

The local pageant will be aired on TV5 live from Manila Hotel this June. Aside from that, the international pageant, which will be held on August 16th in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.
