AI 11: Jessica Sanchez got the lowest votes, saved by the judges

Fans of American Idol 11 got the surprise of the season when Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez was almost eliminated during the top 7 elimination show.

The powerhouse singer got the lowest number of votes and was the one who sang for the judges’ save.

She has just sang a few lines of the song when judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler all rushed to the stage and took her microphone saying that they’d give her the save of the season even if she didn’t sing.

Also part of the bottom 3 were Elise Testone and the other powerhouse singer, Joshua Ledet.

It was Jessica’s first time to be included in the bottom 3 and she surprisingly got the lowest number of votes. Her voting fans perhaps thought many people would vote for her since she’s one of the front-runners, and their votes wouldn’t matter yet in this part of the competition.

While the judges were on the stage to save Jessica, Randy appealed to America to vote for the best, and he was obviously referring to Jessica and, of course, Joshua who also got low votes. Randy also called Jessica one of the best singers in America ever.
