After days of silence, Rhian Ramos finally spoke up regarding the that has dragged her name into a bad light. It was the controversy stirred by the video of Mo Twister that was uploaded to YouTube by a certain PrettyJenny55 last November 28, 2011.
In the video, Mo talked about being hurt by the abortion procedure that Rhian would go through in Singapore the day following the video was recorded.
The video was allegedly uploaded without Mo's consent. According to Mo, the video had been erased from the hard disk of the computer he sold before he left the Philippines. Unfortunately, it was retrieved from the hard disk and was uploaded on YouTube.
The official statement, though, that Mo Twister released last December 4 through Showbiz Rampa of 103.5 WOW FM was something that he wanted the public to know. The statement had the same abortion context and it more than supported the video.
Rhian Ramos' short statement regarding the controversy was aired on GMA-7's 24 Oras last night.
"I think more than what the people has seen, I have been hurt over a longer period of time, unnecessarily, and I think, undeserved." Rhian Ramos told reporter Sandra Aguinaldo during the actress' meeting with her lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan. "I just hope to be able to put an end to that today so that hopefully I can move on."
Last night, Rhian also signed a complaint against Mo. It was going to be filed today by Kapunan. According to the lawyer, Mo Twister violated Republic Act 9262, or more commonly referred to as Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
They are also going to ask for a temporary protection order to refrain Mo from harassing Rhian even more. But according to the lawyer, the temporary protection order "has nothing to do with truth or lies."
"That is not what the protection order is about," Kapunan further said. "What this is all about is harassment."
Rhian's lawyer also said that Mo's public utterances are not normal. "It is dysfunctional behavior."
Rhian wouldn't answer questions from reporters. Her lawyer, though, said that the questions "will be answered in due course."
