Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto are now engaged

Michael Jordan, who is acclaimed the greatest basketball player of all time, got engaged to model girlfriend Yvette Prieto over the Christmas holiday.

The two have been dating for three years now, and while most fans are happy for the engagement, others are hoping the basketball great will sign a prenup this time.

This would be Jordan's second marriage. The Charlotte Bobcats majority owner got divorced with his first wife, Juanita Vanoy, in 2006 after 17 years of being together. He had two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine, from the marriage. The divorce reportedly cost him $168-million.

Meanwhile, Prieto, who is Cuban-American, met Jordan in 2008. The two have allegedly been living together since 2009 in a 5,500-square-foot house in Florida. She previously dated Julio Iglesias Jr., modeled for Alexander Wang, and filed for bankruptcy in 2002.
