Manny Pangilinan Buys GMA-7

Social networking sites are now talking about the supposed business deal between Manny Pangilinan of TV5 and the Jimenez, Duavit and Gozon families of GMA-7.

According to Pep.ph, Pangilinan allegedly offered a mind-boggling deal to acquire the Kapuso network. The deal is 2/3rds done. Only one family from the Kapuso network is not yet convinced, or perhaps holding out for a better deal.

Many believe that this business deal was the topic in a Twitter post of Ruffa Gutierrez.

In her tweet dated December 25, the actress/host said:

Guess what MVP is buying next?? Found out last week through a little birdy but the few people I told didn't believe me. Now its CONFIRMEDDD.

Will GMA-7 really sell the network to TV5? Or is it a merger that will make the two networks one?
