Set for a February 2012 release, the remake stars JC De Vera as Gardo Valiente and Oyo Boy Sotto as Theo Braganza. Gardo was originally played by Tirso Cruz III. Theo, on the other hand, was done by Michael de Mesa who is also included in the remake. This time, he plays the role of Gardo's father, Damian Valiente.

Also in the cast of the remake are Nadine Samonte, Niña Jose, Jacklyn Jose and John Regala among others, under the direction of Joel Lamangan.

For someone who grew up in the nineties, I can still hear the chorus of its theme song in my head. And for those who were so young to remember what was on TV at that time, here's a little info about Valiente from Wikipedia:

Valiente is a Philippine teledrama which originally aired on ABS-CBN from 1992 to 1995, and transferred to GMA Network from 1995 until its last episode in 1997.

Valiente was co-produced and broadcast by ABS-CBN in 1992 as a replacement for another TAPE-produced drama Agila. It was playing with the most known TAPE-produced T.V. show Eat Bulaga and sitcom Okay Ka Fairy Ko. When TAPE disagreed with ABS-CBN’s request to buy the rights of Eat Bulaga from them, Valiente, along with Eat Bulaga and Okay Ka Fairy Ko, started to be co-produced and broadcast by GMA Network on January 21, 1995. The final episode happened in 1997.

Trivia:
The now famous comedian Jose Manalo of Eat Bulaga! and the award-winning actress Eugene Domingo started out in the original Valiente as helpers in the mansion.
