New stars were added on the Eastwood Walk of Fame (the country's version of Hollywood Walk of Fame) on December 1, 2011.
Angel Locsin was among the latest inductees and she was escorted by his father Angel Colmenares to the event. According to Angel Locsin, Phil Younghusband also wanted to come but he had other commitments that day. The presscon of the LA Galaxy and the Philippine Azkals was also held that night at the Shangri-La Hotel.
Showbiz reporters asked Angel's dad if he's okay with Angel and Phil's relationship. The father simply answered, "Kung saan si Angel happy, do'n ako."
Meanwhile, Miko Sotto, Angel's boyfriend up until he died in 2003, was also honored with his own star at the Walk of Fame. His mother, Ali Sotto, was there. Ali and Angel was seen hugging and crying in front of Miko's star.
Aside from Angel and Miko, other inductees of the Eastwood Walk of Fame this year were Sam Milby, Anne Curtis, Ai-Ai delas Alas, the late AJ Perez, Carla Abellana, Marvin Agustin, Joey Albert, Robert Arevalo, Inday Badiday, Iza Calzado, Rustica Carpio, Paquito Diaz, Eugene Domingo, Heart Evangelista, Liberty Ilagan, Cocoy Laurel, Ike Lozada, Celeste Legaspi, Pilar Pilapil, Lovi Poe, Elizabeth Ramsey, Coney Reyes, Caridad Sanchez, Gloria Sevilla, Jessica Sojo, Luz Valdez, Carmina Villaroel, Helen Vela, Marita Zobel and Tina Monzon-Palma.
