Originally done by the Mexican superstar, Thalia, the Pinoy adaptation will have Erich Gonzales playing Maria la del Barrio. Enchong Dee plays Luis Fernando, Maria's love interest.
Others in the cast include Angel Aquino as Victoria, Ian Veneracion as Don Fernando, Paw Diaz as Soraya, Inno Martin as Vladimir, K Brosas, Justin Gonzales, Tricia Santos, and much more.
Maria la del Barrio is directed by Rory Quinto (of Kristine).
