What's happening with the casting of Temptation Island remake? First, Angelica Panganiban and Pokwang had been pulled out by ABS-CBN upon knowing that GMA-7 will co-produce the movie with Regal Entertainment. Then Heart Evangelista had been on and off due to the topless part and schedule problems.
Heart's issues had been remedied by swapping roles with Lovi Poe, and by working her Dwarfina schedule out.
And now Jake Cuenca has also been pulled out by ABS-CBN.
It's such a waste. And I thought we'd be seeing Lovi and Jake in the film together.
The final female cast of Temptation Island includes Marian Rivera, Solenn Heussaff, Lovi Poe, and Heart Evangelista. The final male cast include Aljur Abrenica, Paulo Avelino, and Tom Rodriguez. They're still looking for another male lead.
Rufa Mae Quinto and John Lapuz are also part of this movie as one of the female lead's yaya and pageant organizer respectively.
Chris Martinez directs the film which will be shot on location in Paoay, Ilocos Norte starting April 14th. Martinez also directed the play Temptation Island: Live at the CCP in 2003. His more popular works include 100, Here Comes the Bride, and My Valentine Girls (Gunaw).
