Movie legend Elizabeth Taylor died on the morning March 23, Wednesday, at the age of 79. According to publicist Sally Morrison, the actress died of congestive heart failure at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Elizabeth was hospitalized for about six weeks prior to her death. Her children was at her side at her final hours.
Known for her numerous marriages, Elizabeth Taylor started acting as a child. She appeared in more than 50 movies and won Oscars for her performances in Butterfield 8 (1960) and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966). In 1993, the Academy Award gave her the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her work in humanitarian causes especially in the AIDS research.
