Just like the game between the Azkals and Myanmar, it seems that the Philippine football team fans will just have to do with updates coming from those who are watching the Azkals vs Palestine's game live in Myanmar.
Myanmar is so strict when it comes to the international media that despite various attempts by ABS-CBN, they still won't stream the game to our country.
ABS-CBN Sports posted in its Facebook wall:
Philippines vs. Palestine will not be aired live. Myanmar Ministry of Information denied the request for the live satellite feed for ALL Azkal matches.
And later they posted this:
ABS-CBN Sports rep, who was in Myanmar last Mon., said that MRTV did not even air the match live in Myanmar as per regulations imposed by Myanmar Ministry of Info. DO NOT believe live-streaming sites.
Imagine that! They're so strict they didn't even air the games live it Myanmar!
I'm kinda sure every netizen would be on Twitter later to cheer for the Azkals and get live updates from sports journalists especially from Dyan Castillejo's Twitter page.
But even if we cannot watch the game live from our country, we can still watch the delayed telecast of the games on Studio 23.
But it's so delayed that the Azkals vs Myanmar's game last March 21 will still have to be shown tonight (March 23) at 10:15 PM on Studio 23.
I guess we just have to respect whatever rules they have in Myanmar and just have to do with the live telecasts.
Dyan Castillejo tweeted a while back that the Azkals were having a meeting and gave us a clue as to the first 11 lineup. Dyan tweeted:
"team meeting now...i believe first 11 will be johnsson, gier, alibor, antondelro, lucena, simgreatwich, jamesyoung, chiefy, anghel, ianaraneta niel"
Well, that would be Ray Jonsson, Rob Gier, Alexander Borromeo, Anton del Rosario, Jerry Lucena, Simon Greatwich, James Younghusband, Chieffy Caligdong, Angel Guirado Aldeguer, Ian Araneta, and Neil Etheridge.
That said, let's head over to Twitter and cheer for the Azkals. I hope they trend today, but more importantly, I hope they win!
