Mark Anthony Fernandez was nabbed Monday night in Pampanga for allegedly possessing a kilo of marijuana. While he is detained in Angeles City, support from his loved ones come pouring in.
Aside from his son, teen actor Grae Fernandez, who tweeted his love immediately after the arrest and his mother Alma Moreno who visited him in jail Wednesday night, Mark Anthony's former wife Melissa Garcia also took to Facebook Wednesday night to support the actor.
"I'm sorry I can't be with you this time. But you have my prayers," Melissa wrote. She has two sons with Mark Anthony, Grae being the eldest.
She also thanked the Kapuso actor for being a good father to their kids, and added that he should not lose hope.
"I will always have respect and care for you. Thank you for being a good father to your children. God will not forsake you, so don't ever lose hope."
Meanwhile, Mark Anthony's half-brother Renz Fernandez also took to Instagram to post a photo of them together when they were both still young, captioning it with: "You are in my prayers kind brother."
Renz is a younger brother of Mark Anthony with his dad, the late Rudy Fernandez.
The arraignment of Mark Anthony has been suspended on Thursday after his camp filed a motion to suspend proceedings and to have the case re-investigated. His lawyer also moved for his immediate transfer to Pampanga Provincial Jail. The Angeles City Police Station 6, where the actor is currently detained, is already too crowded to accept additional inmates.
