Cherry Pie Picache has expressed her support for her fellow actress Agot Isidro, whose Facebook post calling President Rodrigo Duterte a psychopath became viral on the internet over the weekend.
At a recent event at the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines on Monday, Cherry Pie said she shares the same stand with Agot on the issue.
"I know that you’re aware that recently, a colleague of mine na si Ms. Agot Isidro went viral because of her message and her opinion and her stand. Gusto ko rin pong sabihin na nakikiisa ako," she said.
She also added that while they are actors, they could also think and have their own stand on issues.
"Artista po kami. Nasa arts and culture kami pero may utak po kami at paninindigan at prinsipyo," she said.
Cherry Pie and Agot worked together in the hit series "Tayong Dalawa" in 2009. It was aired on ABS-CBN.
Agot's statement that was posted on social media was a reaction to the Philippine president's statement regarding accepting aid from nations who meddle in his war against drugs.

"Unang-una, walang umaaway sa iyo. As a matter of fact, ikaw ang nang-aaway. Pangalawa, yung bansa Kung saan ka inuluklok ng 16 million out of 100+ million people ay Third World. Kung makapagsalita ka parang superpower and pilipinas eh. At excuse me, ayaw namin magutom. Mag-isa ka na Lang. wag kang mandamay. Hindi na nga nakakain ang nakararami, gugutumin mo pa lalo. Pangatlo, may kilala along psychiatrist. Patingin ka. Hindi ka bipolar. You are a psychopath," Agot wrote.
