"It's Showtime" hosts Vice Ganda, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz teamed up for this year's "Magpasikat" segment for the noontime show's fifth anniversary.
Using an original song titled "Kapit Lang," the trio's performance was optical illusion-themed that left the viewers in awe.
The performance became one of the trending topics on Twitter on Wednesday. Even its video uploaded on YouTube by ABS-CBN Entertainment is also getting a lot of views - close to a hundred thousand as of this posting.
Meanwhile, the ideas for the production number were not entirely the performers' own.
Watching the OK Go's official video for "The Writings On The Wall," you could see that the first part of Vice Ganda's group's performance was taken from it, including the costumes.
The other half, on the other hand, where Vice, Jugs and Teddy appeared to be walking on walls and ceiling, is very familiar to any Big Bang fan. Check out the South Korean boy band's music video for Sober below.
Anyway, it's how Vice's group executed the optical illusion tricks, and how they entertained the viewers, that matters.
