The "Eat Bulaga: Sa Tamang Panahon" event last Saturday at the Philippine Arena was a big success, raised money for a library project, and even made a Twitter record by getting 39.5 million tweets.

Some fans, however, became disappointed upon learning that the gown design used on Maine Mendoza (aka Yaya Dub) has already been seen on Kim Chiu. A collage of the photos of Kim and Maine wearing the same gown design was uploaded on the internet hours after the show.
It was a big event on national television and fans didn't see it fit that one of the main stars of the event would wear the same design of gown that has already been seen on another famous celebrity.
Francis Libiran, the designer who made the gown, clarified that Kim only modeled the gown; she only wore it for one of his fashion shows and not in some television appearance.
In an article from inquirer.net, the fashion designer said that Maine's team of stylists, Liz Uy's Stylized, was fully aware that Kim has already worn the said 2013 Bangalore pink series gown.
It was not the same gown, though, because the designer "insisted that he created a new one" for Maine.
However, Maine's make-up artist Juan Sarte contradicted the designer's statement in his Facebook post, saying the gown was a "pull out."
"There was something custom-made for Maine but it turned out medyo plain for the event. Liz wanted it a notch higher for the big event that's why she pulled out ready-to-wear gowns from designers and millions worth of jewelry. Standard practice of stylists is to pull-out other gowns from designers pang just-in-case. There were instructions na from Mr. T to buy whatever gown is worn from the pull-out for the Eat Bulaga archives. The Francis Libiran gown was a pull-out/fallback pero mas bumagay kasi modern Cinderella theme you all enjoyed," part of his post read.
It was echoed by what Liz told Style Bible.
"Maine’s gown was chosen among several gowns because its style best fitted the show’s Cinderella theme. The gown, which was first showcased at Francis Libiran’s fashion show as part of his Bangalore collection, was purchased by Tape, Inc. for the event," the celebrity stylist said.
